We recommend fishing our rattle tails on a slow twitching retrieve. Cast and allow your rattle tails to hit bottom, keep twitching and allowing the Lure to drop. Watch it's arracticness in the water on the twitch.
We have recently found a steady retrieve with soft twitches whilst allowing the rattle to breach the surface has been doing really well for us whilst fishing in 1-3ft of water.
Don't be afraid to mix up your retreive pattern, If a bass locks on to one of these - it's game on!
You can keep the rod low and twitch, lift the rod tip and twitch. Always retrieve at a relatively slow retrieve, add some stop starts and mix up your pattern of retrieve!
