Below is about me and my Fishing story which will Help you get to know me better :)
I have been Fishing since the age of 8. I have 30 years of fishing experience from shore & boat.
Over my years of fishing I've had some good sessions. Here is just a few of the species I have caught.. Bass 12.10lb, Smooth-Hound 17lb, Rays 22lb, Cod 31lb, Conger 55lb, Mullet 5lb, Brown trout 18lb, Sea trout 15lb, and many more UK species.
My Love for Lure Fishing Started at around 12 years old when I started Fishing for Brown Trout, Sea Trout, Bass and Mullet in My Local River. I was Catching Trout up to 18lb, Bass to 8lb and Mullet to 5lb, Mainly using Mepps Spinners and abu Toby Lures. I would sometimes trail a Garden worm or Ragworm behind the spinner which Caught me plenty of Trout, Mullet and Bass. One other method which worked well for me was using a fly and split shots. Keeping the Fly Mid water and twitching it in the strong water flow. This method caught me one of my biggest Lure caught bass to date.
Most of my 30 years of Fishing has been using Lures from shore & Boat. Over the Last 5 years I have spent 90% of my time Lure fishing for Bass from the shore, which has recently seen me sell my Fishing boat.
I find Lure fishing from the shore more challenging and much more enjoyable. There's just something very calming and relaxing about grabbing my Lure rod and bag, setting off on the hunt for Bass Along the shore.
I mainly fish Estuaries and beaches for my Lure fishing sessions. In my time I've had over 86 Bass in a 4hr Lure fishing trip. I've had over 8 double figure Bass on bait & Lures.
There are occasions When I don't catch a single Bass! This is Fishing and what I Love about Lure fishing, you never know what each session will bring.
Myself & My Wife Rachel own a small fishing tackle shop on Lymington Quay, Hampshire. This is Something I dreamed about for most of my Life. I have been very fortunate to be able to achieve this. We have owned the shop for the past 4 years and thoroughly enjoy it.
We have made quite a few changes in this time and plan to keep expanding the fishing section within the shop.
As well as owning the shop I also run my own painting & decorating business and have my own Lure brand, Of course, Predator Lures. I plan to cut my painting hours down to commit more time in Lure making and fishing, which is my passion!
I started making my own soft plastic fishing Lures in 2020. I initially made them because I was getting fed up with other brands of Lures tearing up after a single fish. My plan was design and make a Lure that was much more durable but still giving it maximum movement, I have achieved this in my Lures. I had so many local anglers asking to purchase my Lures after seeing me catch some many bass Locally using only my own products, We then took over the shop late 2021 and my wife mentioned that I should look at designing retail packaging to sell my products in our little shop.
Fast forward 5 years, I now have a full Successful Fishing brand, Specialising in soft plastics & Hard plastic Lures. 80% of my Lures are made by me by hand in my Lure making garden office.
I am a absolutely crazy for Lure fishing, I spend most of my time either fishing or thinking about fishing 🙂 i put the same energy and excitement into every Lure & accessory i develope. I want to use the best and I want you to use the best too!
